About the School

The Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University (TCU), located in Fort Worth, Texas, was established in 2019 as a collaboration between TCU and the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC). In January 2022, TCU assumed sole governance of the institution, renaming it the TCU School of Medicine. Later that year, it was named the Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine in honor of the late Anne Burnett Marion's significant contributions. The school welcomed its inaugural class of 60 students in July 2019 and has since maintained a highly competitive admissions process, receiving nearly 7,000 applications annually for the limited spots available.

Curriculum

The Burnett School of Medicine emphasizes the development of "Empathetic Scholars," aiming to produce physicians who are compassionate, empathetic, and prepared to engage in lifelong learning. The curriculum includes early patient interaction, with students beginning clinical experiences in their first week. Facilities

In September 2024, the Burnett School of Medicine dedicated its new medical education building, Arnold Hall, located in Fort Worth's Medical Innovation District.
